Tiling texture fixer

When tiling textures, even seamless textures, you can often still see the repeating pattern due to shade differences. This material group fixes that within Blender. See the short video below for more info.

How it works

It works by calculating the average color of the texture, than performing a filter similar to the Photoshop high pass filter and combining these to output a texture that will have less noticible repetition, when tiling the texture.

Extra: randomize rows

As a bonus, I've included a tool to help you to randomize rows or columns, particularly useful when using textures like planks, bricks and tiles. See the video below for instructions how to set it up. Note that it only works for textures with equal height rows/columns.

Reusing the Tiling texture fixer

If you want to reuse this node group, you need to make the 'Tiling texture image' and 'Tiling texture fixer' groups 'single-user by clicking the number button right of the node group name. After that, you need to edit the 'Tiling texture fixer' group and select the new 'Tiling texture image' group for all four instances of that group. See the video below for more info.
