Floating balls simulation for Blender
This geometry nodes setup for Blender can simulate balls (or other spherical objects) that are floating in the air, colliding with each other and moving erratically. In realtime!
It is also a handy tool to create a cluster of objects that don't intersect like grapes.
With lots of easy parameters, you don't need to know anything about geometry nodes to make cool simulations.
- Ball amount, radius, resolution and rotation speed
- Attraction force
- Turbulence force and scale
- And more.
Tip: If you want the balls to be able to collide with cloth for example, you can use the 'realize instances' checkbox.
Tip: Before rendering an animation, check the 'Cashe' checkbox and bake the simulation (in the Physics tab) before rendering.
Need more realism?
If you want the objects to collide more realisticly or if you want to have objects with different shapes to collide, you can use this addon as a first step and follow the steps in the video tutorial below for the next steps.
